Nominations
Faculty members at undergraduate schools in the United States, Israel, and other countries are invited to nominate students for the Tikvah-Hertog Summer Institute on Economics and the Human Good at Columbia University. Students are also welcome to apply without a faculty nomination.
The Institute seeks students who have demonstrated (a) their ability to excel in the study of the materials discussed in the program and (b) their awareness of the connections between these materials and the political, cultural, and moral questions affected by economic ideas. The Institute seeks students whose career interests make them especially likely to benefit from the program and the opportunities provided by the program to work with future academic and business leaders in the United States, Israel, and other nations.
If you are a faculty member and know students who you believe would thrive in the intellectually demanding environment of the Institute, we invite you to nominate these students. Please send us their names and e-mail addresses, together with brief descriptions of their abilities and their interests in the subject of the Institute's program. Institute staff will then e-mail these students, inform them of your nomination, and provide them with information on how to apply.
Please send your nominations via e-mail to nominations@tikvahfund.org. Please be aware that the application process will be competitive.
